Ardada Empire

The Ardada Empire was an imperialistic state that spanned the north western quarter of Malplenan from 1 AE to 302 AE. It grew by unifying the many tribes and kingdoms of Ardada that preceded it. It fell when its emperor was assassinated and the other leaders could not agree on a successor.   Many modern technologies and standards originated from the Ardada Empire. The prime example of this is our calendar. The common calendar used across all of Malplenan was created to help unify trade, business and bureaucracy across the empire. Other nations across the continent adopted it due to its success and to aid in their own trade. AE and BE, used to denote the era of a year, represent Before Empire and After Empire. The first year of the calendar, 1 AE, was the year that the first emperor, Brudy Gasquet, was coronated.
