Stone
Stone is frequently heralded as “The Greatest of the Free Cities”. Stone is surrounded by massive walls that have only been penetrated once, by The Stone Breaker, considered the greatest human general to have ever lived. The tale of his conquest of Stone is one of the most famous events of the First Contact Wars. The fall of Stone was the first and only time an Elph city has ever fallen to another race.
According to legend, the walls of Stone were raised whole from the earth in a single day by one Half Giant mage. The wall stands about thirty meters tall and is 15 meters thick. The face of the wall is unbroken, not even by a gate. The only way through is for the wall to be opened by the Geomancers who govern the city. The city sits at a cross-roads where several paths and two rivers meet, and before the rail was the center of trade and travel in the Elph nation.
