The Damned are a group composed by former humanoid creatures such as humans, elves, dwarves and many others. Before they were Damneds, these people were soldiers, mercenaries and heros that fought in The End of Everything, the last battle of Amled's War Against the Living. Right after the Firstborn got defeated and destroyed forever by a mysterious group of adventurers, he unleashed a final spell into the army of the living. He divided his power into millions of smaller parts and introduced the void magic into most of the battle survivors.
It is said that 98% of the humanoids that were on that battlefield got hit by Amled's Doom spell. Most of the affected died at the moment, but those that survived eventually developped psionic and void powers. Their eyes turned lilac over time and started glowing intensely.
After that day, some measures were taken to try and include this new species into society. But the humans had to much distrust towards the Damned, for their power came from a being that almost destroyed the planet. Eventually, after some decades, these now powerful and immortal beings were totally excluded from society and the distrust turned into blind hate. It's got to the point that the realms of Heim, Dougne-Bor, Hakyama and Rockvar banned any presence of Damned people in their region.

The Damned are covered with tribal tattos through out their whole body. They are purple, the same color as their glowing eyes.
