    The Expedition
    Discovery, Exploration

By the year 7050 BBE, the Derrotian Age have reached its peak in riches and wealth. Therefore, Maghast Lor-Akar, the Wise asked his cousin, king Oltrabamus Lor-Akar, to fund a scientific expedition to the distant and mysterious island known as Ralbun. He agreed for he knew that in those lands many riches and wealth from draconic ages past lay. Therefore, many druids and rangers from the Mak-Tergar Druidic Circle alongside a battalion of soldiers from Heim's Navy travelled there and began one of the biggest expeditions in Lindrinor's history.

About ten years after the beginning of the expedition, Maghast finally decided to found a city on the island of Ralbun. It served for many years as the expedition's headquarters before being abandoned shortly after the assassination of Maghast.

    Discovery of Dooliandalia

During the five centuries of exporation of Ralbun Island, many ancient ruins of draconic tribes and villages were found. Most of them were quite small and underpopulated, but there was one ruin location in particular that shocked the elven researchers: the ruins of the volcano citadel known as Dooliandalia. it was, apparently, the capital of the Nathdom Empire and many riches and wealth lied inside that place. However, the elves barely explored the citadel because it was very hard to withstand the high temperatures of that ancient abandoned city. Therefore, Maghast gave up on all efforts on trying to explore the place and focused the expedition's resources on studying the land, sea and creatures that lived in both these habitats.

    Maghast's Guide to Draknaths' Publication

On this year, the leader of the expedition, Maghast Lor-Akar, the Wise, published his book: Maghast's Guide to Draknaths. However, it barely sold, for the people of Heim weren't too keen on learning about beasts from other lands. Therefore, the book is incredibly rare and it is probably worth a lot nowadays.

    Commander Serthes mysterious disappearance

In the first half of the -66 century the expedition had reached its peak. Maghast had published his life's work already and all of the creatures that lived on the island were already nicely described and plenty of information has already been gathered on them. Because of that, the expedition now changed its focus: it stopped being about discovering about the creatures and studying them and it was now about trying to seek treasures that as once left behind in this mysterious land.    It was because of that that Commander Serthes (the man that commanded the military front of the expedition) was exploring the Grand Desert alongside some of his fellow soldiers. However, they did not come back, for they were found and killed by Beshal, the Traitor (this information is not divulged before the EAL campaign). However, Beshal decided to revive them using necromancy magic and crafted a magical bond into their bodies that sealed their lives in servitude of Amled, the God of Instinct and Despair. Since then, Serthes have been working as a slave for the Undying, carefully preparing and waiting for its arrival from its banishment. When the War of Doom, Serthes was assigned as one of Oxabal's trusted generals, helping the fallen angel to achieve his objectives in Ralbun Island in the year 94 ABE.

Maghast's Assassination and End of the Expedition

Maghast and the expedition had little to do with The Patricide War, but that didn't mean they weren't going to be affected by it. In fact, the wealthy expedition was an insult to the orcs and goblins that were fighting in the war. Millions of gold pieces were being spent to take some scientists to the edge of the world while the goblinoids starved and were slaves all accross Heim's kingdom. That was an absurd injustice in the eyes of the Patricide. Therefore, he sent an assassin to kill the leader of the expedition. That also dealt the final blow to the decadent expedition. Because of the war, Heim was barely sending supplies to Ralbun anymore and, with the assassination of their leader, the few expeditioneers left decided it was best to pack up and go home.
