    Foundation of Bridgelum
    Founding

    After the Halfling Uprising, the realm of Rockvar ceded The Southern Lands while Rivien gave the Alendar Isthmus to the Halfling people. Ordo Saggins, the leader of the revolution, became ruler of this new state. He and his revolutionaries decided to construct a village called Syrup in the heart of the Isthmus.

    Syrup's Foundation
    Founding

    Syrup is born by the hands of Ordo Saggins and his fellows revolutionairies. The settlement started thriving, with berry-gathering as its main economic trade.

    Construction beginning/end

    The construction of Lord Ordo's personal manor was the last nail of the The Halfling Uprising. Afterwards, there were only good days ahead.

    Construction of Elm's Bridge
    Construction beginning/end

    Syrup's first of its many bridges was constructed no long after the manor was built. In the meanwhile, fishery, sheep farmery and cloth making was quickly besting berry-picking as Syrup's main economic trade.

    Discovery of a large iron deposit in the Gray Mountain
    Discovery, Exploration

    While Syrup began to grow large amounts of wheat (in order to make bread to feed the kingdom), the king Ordo Saggins and some of his mates found a huge iron deposit in the Gray Mountain.

    Colonization of the Gray Mountain
    Expedition

    After the discovery of the large iron deposit in the Grey Mountain, Syrup quickly started a colonization of the place. Although dangerous, acquiring a local source of iron was extremely necessary to the continue growth of the city.

    Construction of Ravinus' Churches
    Construction beginning/end

    During the colonization of the Grey Mountain, Ordo Saggins decided to construct two churches to honor the light god Ravinus: one in the new mining district, on the top of the mountain, and one near Saggins Manor.

    Construction of the King's Mine

    The main reason of the colonization of the Grey Mountain is to get the iron from its veins. Constructing a mine inside the caves is the only way to do that.

    Discovery of gold in the Grey Mountains
    Discovery, Exploration

    Almost one year after Syrup's foundation, a group of travellers found gold in a cave in the Grey Mountain. The colonization of the mountain was going well and Ordo Saggins would surely create another mining district in the near future.

    Reforestation of the Eastern Woods

    In order to secure a prosper and sustainable future, Ordo Saggins ordered the reforestation of the lands to the east. Afterall, the woods is one of the best places to find and gather food. By the end of this venture, berry-picking would become once again Syrup's main economic trade and boar will also feed some halfling tables.

    Construction of Ravinus' Cathedral

    With Syrup's steady growth, Ordo Saggins decided to honor once again the Lord of Light and started a construction not of a church, but a cathedral of Ravinus. It was going to be the biggest construction of Syrup till now.

    Discovery of Hephestos' Workshop
    Discovery, Exploration

    After some months colonizing the Grey Mountain, eventually the colonizers reached its peak and found a dormant volcano in it. They named it "Hephestos' Workshop" in honor of the legendary smith god. They've been worshipping the place ever since.

    Construction of Fort Liender

    Syrup was growing a lot at this point. And that attracts bandits and all sorts of bad company. Therefore, Ordo Saggins decided to construct a strong garrison in order to mantain the peace.

    Construction of the Speared Monks Monastery (Known as Monastery Oliande)
    Construction beginning/end

    One day a really old Wood Elf from the Speared Monks showed up in Syrup. He claimed he wanted to retire and build a small monastery in which the art of Spear-Fighting could be passed on to the kind and welcoming halflings of this city. He gathered a few other newcomers and constructed the building (in which they named Monastery Oliande) that whitstands till this day.

    Construction of the Drunken Halfling Tavern and Ravinus' Shrine
    Construction beginning/end

    The Grey Mountain was now fully colonized and to comemorate that and Syrup's steady growth, Ordo Saggins decided to construct a tavern in which folk could gather. He also commended the constructing of a gold shrine of Ravinus that would be located just outside the new tavern.

    Ordo Saggins' Coronation
    Political event

    Four years after Syrup's creation and six after the foundation of Bridgelum, the people held a democratic votation in order to decide what political regime they would want. Together, they voted for monarchy and on the first day of the year 377 BBE Ordo Saggins was crowned king of Bridgelum. After that day, House Saggins became even more famous across Lindrinor and they ruled Bridgelum until the start of Amled's War Against the Living.

    Attack on Syrup and Byen Engler by undead forces. Start of the Amled's War Against the Living.
    Military action

    When Amled's War started, the halfling's capital city was the first to suffer a devastating attack. The undead army then marched to Byen Engler and failed in attempting to overthrow the city. If not for the Gensinh troops (that were on the city for an event), the Order of the Eagle's Paladins and the adventurers that were on the city and decided to stay and fight off the undead army Byen Engler would have definetly fell.

    Amled's War Agaisnt the Living
    Military action

    Amled has risen from his void prison and is trying to destroy the living. He's built a gigantic army that took over Syrup and Bridgelum in a single night. They then marched to Byen Engler, but got defeat by the brave troops of soldiers and adventurers that were on the city.   After 13 years of a terrible and unforgiven war agaisnt Amled, the Eight Kingdoms Union finally defeated the undead forces and reclaimed their lost territories. Thanks to a brave group of adventurers, Amled was defeated and banished once again in the year 106
