Trinen Urrfolk

Trinen Urrfolk, a diverse group of Urr, have lived under the rule of Eldurgrund and Fjordstrond in extreme subjugation. These creatures, visually similar to the deity known as Eithun Urr, were found on an island in the Fingerless Gulf, where they were hunted to near extinction at the hands of humanity for centuries. A settlement to the north, Urrlógun, was originally erected as a hunting ground for the upper classes to hunt these monstrous beasts. For the majority of these hunts, however, humanity was unaware of the extent of the Urrfolk's sapience. It wouldn't be until research was conducted on the cusp of their extinction that writing, toys, and rudimentary art were located in deep caves upon the island.   Appearance
Trinen Urrfolk tend to have a lighter complexion than their fingerless gulf counterparts, but maintain the same large, lumbering body. They lack stripes and usually have a white stomach. Their overall body structure is similar, lacking necks to support their round heads which protrude forward from the torso. They are typically hairless, sporting dense leathery skin that is often described as scaly due to the tendency for their skin to dry and crack. Their heights is typically smaller than their island counterparts, perhaps due to less easily acceptable food (as it is theorized took part in cannibalism when they existed in large communities, as opposed to the solitary nature of their Trinen counterparts.

Diaspora

The Urrfolk were found exclusively upon their island for most of history, until a baron within the city of Euvurcrest wished to have several of them shipped for the purpose of "research." Rather, he wished to erect his own hunting grounds, refusing to travel the 300 miles to the island itself. The transporters were shocked when a fire spread around their caravan as they slept in the Lyslure Woods. The perpetrator was never uncovered, but each Urr escaped in the chaos, resulting in the northern breed of "Trinen Urrfolk. They can be found in forest across the northern mountains of Eldurgrund and Fjordstrond.

Legal Hunting

Urrfolk tend to serve as resident boogiemen in the territory that they settle (typically solitary in caves or small cabins which they build). If an Urr is discovered living near human civilization, they tend to get blamed for murder, disappearances, or dark magical phenomena. Unfortunately for the Urrfolk, the hunting of these creatures is not considered murder by the eyes of any barony or the Augury. This tends to result in the slaughter of many innocent Urr all across the land, perhaps explaining their apprehension to live within society at all.

Protection of Urrfolk

Ever since the rise of the Saltkrigere Empire, Fjordstrond has run programs which allow Urrfolk to become "protected" from any that would do them harm. In exchange for assisting the barony in laborious jobs or tasks of extreme physical requirement, such as the construction of their massive bridges, dams, or mining, the Urrfolk are rewarded with both pins and banners that represent the Urrfolk Ministry. When worn or displayed in the home territory of the Urrfolk, any invaders are to respect the protection that the government holds over the individual. While this protection must be renewed annually with more labor, it is better than nothing for those who participate. Those that live in Eldurgrund are given no such protection.

"Surely, I have never seen a creature more pitiful. Perhaps there is some measure of assistance I could give, though not within the city. I doubt either party wishes for the Urrfolk to enter such... civilization."

Eithun Urr

Eithun and Gaddon Urr, the Brother Gluts, are one of the core Ithitar devils despised by the Augury. They serve as one being with the title of Inutherin under the Ancient Ithitar. These individuals were first discovered through the religious carvings in the homeland of the Urrfolk. Perhaps humanity's hatred towards the Urrfolk is due to the titles they dedicated to the devil, such as the ruler of greed, gluttony, lust, etc. For more on the deity, read the following article:
