Lonelymare was with Ellayne Warbough at the final push of the Doomed Crusade. She allegedly strangled an Vagun with her belt while the brute was attempting to carry her off as spoils. True or not, it is confirmed that she bit the beast’s ear off, as she kept the bloody victual and preserved it, where it hangs from a chain around her neck. You can still see the teeth marks where she bit into it. She chews on it still when she’s pensive. Off duty, she usually stays to herself except for holidays, where she joins the courting maidens looking for a spouse. On these occasions she can be found dancing and playing along as if she didn’t have a care in the world, all the while still having the ghastly trophy bouncing on its chain in plain view. Most of the men of the town have generally agreed that this is a warning to remain polite and hands-off with her.
Her actions gave her the nickname "Garrotte", which rapidly became shortened to "Gar."
