Personal history
Credence was born in a small, nameless hamlet outside of The College of Questions proper. He was born into Clan Fogritty and worked the farm for his formative years. His main form of recreation in those days was hunting, especially trapping. He was always very conscientious of how much he took; and once he'd acquired his desired forage he would release his quarry after feeding and grooming them.
His Becoming was a simple one that turned complicated; he was to find a new source of tools for his family as their previous caravan contact had been attacked and destroyed on the road the season before. Being from a small settlement unconnected to a larger town, he set off on this task alone. While he succeeded, he was greatly hindered by a coven of hags that had taken an irrational dislike to him. He only managed to convince them to leave him be by slaying their chosen champion and exchanging their Hag's Eye for a truce.
His experience with the hags colliding with his mundane, agrarian childhood instilled in him a desire to see magic destroyed, and he was soon recruited into the nearby College of Questions. His career since has been one of single minded hunts tempered only by his Kindness.
