The Golden Eagle is a species of prey bird which lives in Moskova. It can be found in remote areas such as the Sentinel Mountains, the Western Forest, the Eastern Forest and around Ogon Volcano. However, sometimes it also can be seen in urban areas. Golden Eagles are considered a symbol of Moskova.

Golden Eagle's association with the country is so strong that Ulán Shang Kov (capital city) is often nicknamed as "The Golden Eagle". The three headed depictions of this animal are also featured in coins, local crests and memorabilia inside the Royal Palace and several places of Ulan Shang Kov.

Golden Eagles have a very strong Symbolism which can be traded down to the origins of civilization, as Humankind has always seen them in awe. These animals are mostly associated with power, strength, wisdom, perseverance and royalty. It is unknown when Golden Eagles began to symbolize Moskova in the collective mind, but it first appeared in official crests since the V century. The current crest of the Empire features a three headed Golden Eagle while several features related to the Imperial power and government are associated with this bird, such as the Throne of the Tsar of Moskova himself which is usually called the Eagle Throne

Basic Information

Anatomy


These avian are considered to be medium-big in size since they have a wing span of 1.5 meters and a height of 50cm.   Their legs are muscular, scally and their feet are crowned by long and strong claws. Their bodies are covered by feathers with a range of colors that varies from golden yellow to brown with golden undertones and white spots.   Their head features a big and thick beak which is adapted to its predatory habits, asi it's useful for fleshing its preys. Theeyes are big, round and vary from yello to orange shades.  

Dietary Needs and Habits


Golden Eagles are usually predators as they fed on smaller avian species, reptiles and mammals. However, they also can be found eating dead animals.   The babies are fed by their parents although the male tends to do it more often. They eat raw meat straight from the first day out of the egg, which is broughtto the nest after a hunt. It is common to see Eagles carrying dead preys to their nests up on the trees, even as big as deers.
