Andrew
Grand Duke Andrew Ferdinand William Louis
Prince Andrew Ferdinand William Louis von Lexington was a member of the American Royal Family, being the son of King William I and Queen Ana. He was also the younger brother of King Edward I and Emperess Maria of Mexico, and the elder brother of Queen Sophia of Peru.
Prince Andrew was a graduate of the American Royal Naval Academy, having gained a comission in the American Navy, having granted the honorary rank of Admiral. After Maria was executed in Mexico City, along with her husband, Vicente II, and most of her children, Andrew took command of a squadron of ships, blockading the eastern coast of Mexico. His squadron helped facilitate the amphibious assault on Veracruz, in which the American marines captured the city.
With the ascension of Edward to the American throne, Andrew gained the title of Grand Duke of Pennsylvania. In 1869, Andrew was appointed as the Prince Regent of Sequoyah. During his tenure, he attempted to facilitate incorporation of the native tribes of Sequoyah into the broader American populace. However, he recieved push back from the Principal Chiefs of the Five Tribes, who wished for greater autonomy. Despite his position, he declined to make an official statement on the Supreme Court's decision to deny voting rights to Native residents of Sequoyah as it remained seen as a semi-independent territory.
