Edward I
King Edward
Edward Henry James Augustus von Lexington was the Crown Prince of America, and son of William I and Ana de Jesus. Upon the death of his father, he ascended as King of America.
In 1866, with the overthrow of his nephew Miguel as Emperor of Mexico, he granted asylum but elected not to intervene in Mexico. This is because the American people and aristocracy have become war weary with their involvement in Mexican affairs. Following the Third Mexican Civil War, he agreed to place Miguel as the head of the Grand Duchy of Central America. He also agreed to the admittance of Rio Grande and Yucatan into the Kingdom in 1872.
