Summer Seas Trading Company
A palatial-looking, geometric building serves as the headquarters of the Summer Seas Trading Company. The building itself, four stories tall, is constructed of concrete, stone, and brick, and under its stoic appearance also features bas-relief carvings of Prisais and Sephine delivering wealth and fortune onto fleets of ships, while surrounding friezes depict the Company's various "factories" around Kethenicaea. The building gives a down-to-earth and serious impression, and is lively with activity. Wealthy looking company agents are seen coming and going, buoyed on a crowd of clerks, merchants, attendants, porters, and advisors from meeting to meeting. Behind the building, wagonloads of goods fresh from the docks are loaded into the Company's warehouses almost as fast as exports from the warehouses are loaded back into the carts and sent to the dockyards.
The Summer Seas Trading Company has developed into a risky but lucrative investment for many notable Attikans. Controlling a wide trade network ranging from the Attikan coast to the eastern edge of the Summer Sea, and even occasionally sends trade missions through "the slot" to the Jade or Cyrellian Seas. While certainly a powerful trade organization, the Summer Seas Trading Company has begun to extend its power, developing political connections and even establishing itself as a nascent colonial power around its trade holdings.
The Company is always open for business, and frequently fills the contracts of local merchants and is at the heart of Whiteport's maritime commerce network.
