Kethenicaea is a world of magic and adventure, a world of infinite possibility. In Kethenicaea evil monsters and dastardly villains clash with noble heroes and adventurers, struggling over the fate of kingdoms, continents, and the world.
Kethenicaea is a fantasy Dungeons & Dragons setting and attempts to create a realistic, engaging, and living world for players to immerse themselves in. Technologically, the people of Kethenicaea are roughly on par with the high and late middle ages and early renaissance period in world history, and while gunpowder is rare it is occasionally used. The main conflicts which drive Kethenicaea are struggles between magical and divine entities, as Kethenicaea's divine pantheon is flexible and changes as new gods rise and old gods fall to make room for the new arrivals. Political conflict between Kethenicaea's many diverse states also drives conflict. The world is driven by the actions of heroic individuals, and visitors to Kethenicaea will find a world filled with adventure and waiting to be explored.
Magic is not uncommon in Kethenicaea, though truly powerful, world-altering magic is rare and those who practice it are usually specialists or unique.
