Queen to Edregard I, and born to a high ranking family of House Malmor
She was always a gifted scholar and had studied under the sage Master Sataram from whom she gained great learning in philosophy, history and the fundamentals of sorcery. So grateful was she to Master Sataram that she requested (and was granted) that her tutor be given a gift of land in The Heartland to establish a tower where he could pursue his studies.
Her learning was of considerable value to her husband and gave him great counsel in matters political and strategic during his reign.
She remained a powerful figure in the court even after the death of her husband, the king, and gathered around her a clique exerting considerable social influence. She and her inner circle each wore a pin or brooch of steel depicting a delicate flower, and they were nicknamed the Sharp-Stems.
She never took to the Melvenna the wife of her eldest son and new Queen, but did befriend and support Olysenna the wife of her second-son Arthindon.
