Edregard I

(a.k.a. The Boy King and The Warrior King)

Sixth king of The Royal House of Kaevil   He took the throne at the age of eleven years following the death in battle of Armindal I and was nicknamed the "Boy King". Much of his early training was under the guidance of his mother Tynnaran and two of her brothers, his "Uncles of Steel and Storm" who were members of the Knights of Kaevil (there had been a third who had died in the same battle as his father).   At the age of 18 he was married to Vensensa of Malmor a keen-minded and incisive woman with great and immediate insight into complex matters.   His reign was entirely within the period of the Deeper Darkness and defined by the struggle against the Trolls. He died without seeing an end to it, after taking a wound in conflict with a faceless champion of the Trolls, who wielded a foul blackened spear. The wound would not close and Edregard sickened and died of its venom over the course of months.   He had earned, by the end of his life the epithet of "The Warrior King", and his wife Queen Vensensa was known to be as great a strategist as her husband   He was the first to swear the Oath of Edregard
