Prince of Kaevil and brother to Armindal II Second son of Edregard I and Queen Vensensa
Married to Olysenna of House Raendor in 833 and father to Arlyth and Elorin.   The marriage was not a happy one, having been arranged for diplomatic reasons by his father Edregard I to build stronger ties with House Raendor whose martial strength and resources were much needed in this time.   Both Arthindon and Olysenna resented the arrangement and it was noted that Arthindon saw little need to pretend otherwise.   He allowed his duties to take him away from home often.  If there was any comfort to be had for Olysenna  is was that Arthindon's mother Vensensa of Malmor, Queen of Kaevil much preferred her to Melvenna of Orloi, Queen of Kaevil who had married her older son.    The two women, formed a powerful social clique at Sildern and wielded great influence.
He was known for his height and courage, but also for his abruptness and, some say, arrogance. He was an exceptional warrior and saw no need to pretend he was not. As second-son of the previous King, he carries The sword Peacekeeper
While he did not always agree with his brother, the king, he was as loyal a servant of the crown as any, if not the most polite and amenable, and did great deeds against the Trolls and their kindred.
