Ahelian (A-he-li-an)
Protectors of Alfensil
Structure
Kyserion
Of the five battalions that make up the Ahelian, the Kyserion is by far the most specialized. While the other battalions focus on the protection of a specific district or location, the Kyserion is trained specifically to serve as the guards of the Elven King. In many ways, this special assignment makes those that join the Kyserion the most elite Soldiers in the Bauxatehn as their training is often more stringent and requires a certain level of experience and veterancy to even attempt to join this elite group. Numbering around 200 members, the Kyserion is the smallest battalion found within the Bauxatehn. Although structured to be part of the Elven military, this group does not always function as such, as the members only swear loyalty to the crown and the current monarch, not to any organization. This often causes interesting dynamics between members of the Kyserion and the various other battalions of the Ahelian as the chain of command structure that exists in most brigades of the Bauxatehn is lacking when it comes to the Kyserion.Northern District
The Northern District battalion of the Ahelian covers the northern areas of Alfensil that are part of the city's merchant district. Part of this battalion mans small stations along the northern edge of the city, keeping the magical barrier in place if it is ever needed. These Soldiers are often aided by members of the Academy of the Scroll if their magic is weak or they are not well-versed in Brown Magic. Members of the Northern District battalion may serve as mediators to those in the merchant district that become argumentative or engage in violent disagreements. In many cases, those battalions of the Ahelian that specialize in city security also serve as a police force and help citizens in any way possible. This is more prevalent in the merchant district where disagreements over purchases can become violent. Training for the Northern District battalion focuses on the use of Brown Magic as well as some knowledge of Yellow Magic for those that serve on the streets and Orange Magic for those that are stationed around the perimeter. These Soldiers are also trained in hand-to-hand combat, various weapons training, and de-escalation strategies.Eastern District
The Eastern District battalion of the Ahelian covers the eastern areas of Alfensil that are part of the city's workshop district. Part of this battalion mans small stations along the eastern edge of the city, keeping the magical barrier in place if it is ever needed. These Soldiers are often aided by members of the Academy of the Scroll if their magic is weak or they are not well-versed in Brown Magic. Members of the Eastern District battalion may serve as a form of disaster response unit for those in the workshop district that may be injured while plying their trade. In many cases, those battalions of the Ahelian that specialize in city security also serve as medics and other necessary first responders. This is most prevalent in the workshop district where tradesmen may suffer life-threatening injuries from their crafts. Training for the Eastern District battalion focuses on the use of Brown Magic as well as a great deal of knowledge of Yellow Magic for those that serve on the streets and some Green Magic for those that are stationed around the perimeter. These Soldiers are also trained in hand-to-hand combat, various weapons training, and early disaster response strategies.Southern District
The Southern District battalion of the Ahelian covers the southern areas of Alfensil that are part of the city's political district. Part of this battalion mans small stations along the southern edge of the city, keeping the magical barrier in place if it is ever needed. These Soldiers are often aided by members of the Academy of the Scroll if their magic is weak or they are not well-versed in Brown Magic. Members of the Southern District battalion may serve as security for foreign dignitaries, important members of Elven noble houses and clans, as well as other important people that may visit the King. In many cases, these Soldiers are trained similarly to the Kyserion but are not as elite of a force and tend to be cross-trained in other areas as necessary. Training for the Southern District battalion focuses on the use of multiple types of magic, including Brown Magic, Orange Magic, Yellow Magic, White Magic, and others. These Soldiers are also trained in hand-to-hand combat, various weapons training, and a variety of other combat types and strategies that help them fulfill their roles.Western District
The Western District battalion of the Ahelian covers the western areas of Alfensil that are part of the city's residential district. Part of this battalion mans small stations along the western edge of the city, keeping the magical barrier in place if it is ever needed. These Soldiers are often aided by members of the Academy of the Scroll if their magic is weak or they are not well-versed in Brown Magic. Members of the Western District battalion serve a number of purposes, including being mediators, disaster response, or medics. This district is often the quietest and known for its easy patrols as many confrontations and crises happen outside of this district. In many cases, this battalion of the Ahelian serves multiple roles, often the same ones that other battalions fulfill in specific districts. Training for the Western District battalion is similar to that of the Northern and Eastern Districts and often focuses on Brown Magic as well as Yellow Magic. Other colors of magic are optional for this battalion. These Soldiers are also trained in hand-to-hand combat, various weapons training, and de-escalation and disaster response strategies.

Wow, so much detail! I'm amazed that someone can invent a military unit that feels so real. The intro paragraph was great and pulled me right in. I also love how you made a crest for each battalion!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have a background in military history and have a lot of family that are in the military so I use those as inspiration to make these units seem as real as possible and make sure that they can actually function.
