Judaean Epochs

The tumultuous planet Judaea has experienced at least three distinct geological upheavals, and the times between these cataclysms are counted as epochs.

Third Epoch

65000000 EP 4810001 EP

The second previous epoch on Judaea. The abbreviation GT is derived from its name in Sumīr, Ghītāḑahu.

  • The Age of Fire
    Third Upheaval
    Geological / environmental event

The estimated transition into the Third Epoch from the period prior, which is currently unidentified. The Third Upheaval was caused by planetwide volcanic eruptions thought to have been instigated by crossing too near to a magnetically reactive planet or planetoid, during which 99.9% of all life was wiped out.

Second Epoch

4810000 EP 10001 EP

The first previous epoch on Judaea. The abbreviation GKa is derived from its name in Sumīr, Ghīkālī.

  • The Age of Collisions
    Second Upheaval
    Geological / environmental event

The transitional event between the Second and Third Epochs, the Second Upheaval was caused by the slow-turned-rapid collision of multiple tectonic plates that resulted in the destruction of the smaller North Central and Northeastern Plates, and created the Great Central Range of mountains. During this upheaval, previously advanced intelligent life was rendered almost entirely extinct.

First Epoch

10000 EP and beyond

The current epoch on the planet Judaea. The abbreviation GK is derived from its name in Sumīr, Ghīkhi.

  • The Age of Collapse
    First Upheaval
    Geological / environmental event

The estimated beginning of the current era on Judaea, the First Upheaval was the result of the collapse of the Great Central Range, which left the Great Central Sea in its place.
