Imaginaerium, Day 4 - Arrows and Aliens

If you hear a voice within you saying, ‘You are not a painter,’ then by all means paint, boy, and that voice will be silenced.
— Vincent van Gogh
With just about a week left until Summer Camp, things are definitely starting to get exciting. Already, there been a ton of really cool and interesting meta/homework articles written and many worlds I can't wait to see made as July come around.   What about you? Any inspiration boards or meta articles you found particularly interesting? Or one you wrote that you are especially excited about?   Comment below and let the Anvil know!

Video Recommendation

Tod's Workshop is a youtube channel with a lot of interesting material regarding medieval weaponry, armor, and all the things surrounding that. Some of it gets pretty late into the medieval era, but there's a great deal of interesting information to help interject some detail and life into your world... And maybe inspire some completely new things, too!

Shows, Movies, Anime

At first, I wasn't sure if I needed to really include this, but then I realized it first aired all the way back in 1993! Showing my age...
The venerable X-Files. It was such a strange beast for its time, with all the conspiracies and high strangeness that veered wildly from aliens to magic to genetic abominations in its monster-of-the-week format. For me (and I suspect for many of us who were young 'uns at the time), it was the first time I ever encountered many of these concepts.   Not all of it has aged well, but it's still a fascinating and wild ride through all kinds of interesting ideas ready to be dissected for world-building fun. They draw a ton of inspiration from the actual UFO conspiracies and all the crazy things going on there, which is great.   ..But you can safely skip the relaunched season 10+.

Music Recommendation

Today's music is not from a single band, but from the album World Dance. It is very different from the kind of music you might usually come into contact.
