Personal history

At some point, Adam Firstman was walking in the woods and nearly stepped on a forest gnome named Waywocket, who he later married. He also joined The Verdant Hand.   In 48 3E, he and his wife joined Chaotic Okay and began traveling with them. He helped them to defeat Mama Olga Wormgums and Auntie Gertrude Frogtooth using his shapeshifting abilities.   When he spoke to The Oracle in Zelphus, she told him that he was braver than he knew and that when the time came, powerful magic would come to his aid. This prophecy was fulfilled when the group fought Granny Agatha Bloodmaw and she opened a fissure that thousands of demons poured from. Adam sacrificed his life to save his friends and allow them to get away. He was killed by a bone devil.   After The Verdant Hand received word of Adam's death, they posthumously granted him the title of Archdruid. In his afterlife, Adam was a part of all of nature, basically tripping balls.   In 70 3E, leading up to the Harmonic Convergence, Adam was brought back from the dead as a Plantfolk, which was witnessed by Itham. At first, Adam had difficulty remembering his life. With a snap of her fingers, Odd One restored his memories.   Adam became a member of The Chosen Nine. As the group traveled through Shademoor, Itham found Adam again. Adam was informed of his promotion to Elder Druid of the Verdant Hand. Itham implied the possibility of Adam becoming The Great Druid, but said that saying so was blasphemous.   Once The Chosen Nine came together and left Illon's atmosphere headed for Caldera, Adam fell asleep and had a vision.
You find yourself in a breathtaking garden, reminiscent of the one where you were brought back to life. Yet, a dark, parasitic force of magic gnaws at the plants, starting from the center and spreading outward. Your heart sinks as you watch the Verdant Hand flag go up in flames. The vision shifts, revealing the Grand Tree at the heart of the Palm of the Verdant Hand, its once-vibrant leaves wilting. Suddenly, the scene shifts to the Harmonic Convergence, the three moons aligning ominously overhead. Then, The Great Druid appears, a sinister smile twisting his lips. “You really think you can usurp me?” He dons a white raven-shaped mask, and with that chilling image, you wake in a cold sweat.
Even after the full Chosen Nine came together, Adam remained the moral compass of the group. He greatly advocated for saving the Calderans. When they first arrived on Caldera, Adam scoped it out by turning into a Giant Eagle and flying around. Additionally, after meeting the Calderans, he saw and learned to transform into a Charhorn, Blaze Hog, or Ember Beetle.   When the group arrived at the Core of Caldera, Mohtarr asked them all "Why do you really want to destroy Caldera? Is it just about the prophecy?" Adam answered that he thinks it's the right thing to do.   After destroying Caldera, the group went their separate ways and Adam went to thePalm of the Verdant Hand to challenge the Great Druid of The Verdant Hand. He won and became the new Great Druid.
