Pit-Fighter

Class Description

"From the underground fighting arenas, to the war grounds, Pit-Fighters are always found where ever battles can be fought. Hard-headed but strong, Pit-Fighters are incredibly talented at hand to hand combat, taking pleasure from giving and receiving damage, and rarely ever do they run from a fight." -Class Description from The World of Idoria TTRPG

Lore

As its name suggest, Pit-Fighters get their name from 'The Pits', as they are often called; a series of black-market fighting arenas where the only rule is not to rat the place out. Not every swordsman who uses the same techniques as a Pit-fighter comes from 'The Pits', though, the name "Pit-fighter" is a catch-all nickname- or insult- for those who fight in that manner.

The Pit-Fighter is one of the most common Classes amongst Adventurers due to the relative simplicity and magic-less nature of its techniques. Pit-fighters know very little magic, if any at all; preferring to use their brute strength and speed to overwhelm their opponents at point-blank range, rather than pick at them from a distance.

For Pit-Fighters, an honourable fight is a glorious fight, although what "honourable" means for them doesn't mean what it would mean for most other people... To the Pit-Fighters, an "honourable fight" is one where two opponents are locked in head to head melee combat, with the winner killing the loser. This means that an exceptionally "honourable" Pit-Fighter has survived, and won, many battles; and battle with them should be avoided, if at all possible.
