Personal history

James is an orphan who's parents abandoned him in No-Man's Land as a baby.  A wandering tribe picked him up, named him Amesj, and taught him their scavenger ways (it was here he learned to fight and shot, and got really good at both of these skills).  James, however, did not want to be an outsider forever.  He wanted to find his parents and actually make a real life for himself.  Knowing that he'd never be able to do that as one of the forbidden No-Man's Land tribe members, he changed his name to James, stole a set of identifying papers and Black-Line Test results from a boy who looked almost exactly like him (a boy he had to kill to keep secret).  He can never let anyone know about his past, or what he did to get away from it.  He got a job on an off-shore Post-Oil Fuel rig and worked there for 5 years before getting caught up with a couple of older workers who had it out for him.  They bated him into an ill-fated card game in Naranj where after losing he was traded in servitude to DBO - Defensive Beach Operation.  It was there he was set up as a fixer, using his fighting strength, and where he was set up with his wife Analucia.  They were going to be split up, when Analucia came up with a scheme to get them both out of DBO - Defensive Beach Operation but it required them signing on with HSA - Homeland State Authority (James has never quite been sure the trade has been worth it).  He now works as a high-level agent, mostly on offensive jobs or backing up Analucia and her team in the field.

These two agents were set up in an arranged marriage when they were both members of DBO - Defensive Beach Operation and while they were not necessarily supposed to keep this marriage going outside of the mission, when they moved over to HSA - Homeland State Authority they stayed married, but in secret.

Nicknames & Petnames

James calls Analucia 'Little Bird' and she calls him "Soldier", along with other standard nicknames when they are giving each other grief.  They almost never use each other's formal names.
