No-Man's Land

Geography

No-Man's Land was once a heavily populated area of thriving farmland (where most of the food for the country of Poe was grown) and forests (that once held the most amazing variety of animals that were also whipped out by the war) that separated the two countries of Poe and Anderstern. It was the main staging area of the The Third World War fought over and bombed until there was nothing left. It was dug into trenches, and stretched over by barbed wire, and buried with unexploding bombs just waiting for unsuspecting people to find. Hills were flattened and ordinance dug new divots into the landscape. The area is basically uninhabitable now, burnt down to the dust of salt and clay deserts, its former citizens either causalities of war or forcibly moved to other parts of the country by HIPA - Homeland Inclusive People Authority . The area is now subject to windstorms that pick up the salt and carry it into tornados that wreck any chance of rebuilding the area. The area is also thought of as cursed, and most people would rather travel around, either taking the Sanderstone mountain pass or going by sea than by traveling through it, even though once all of the main trade routes went through the main city of this area. Maps show this area more like an unhealed wound that never scared over.

Tourism

There is a group of people, nomads who the The BFA - Business First Authority has considered people of interest (that they would prefer to lock up in prisons), these people have taken to trying to live in No-Man's Land, constantly moving so that they are not found, sneaking into the nearby towns for supplies, and very suspicious of newcomers. There are rumors of them, the people of no-land, but the people of the continent seem to think of them as the bad guys, and not what they really are, but victims of a system that is trying to erase them.
