Aura Birth Certificate
An Aura Birth Certificate (ABC) helps your future employees know if you are the right person for the position.
When born, all Imperials have a Soul print created that shows their soul's potential to any Aurae powers they could possess. A Doctor's report is written for the Three powers - The Elista, The White Church, and The Queen highlighting the chance of a Sorce developing. Based on this report, one of these 3 Powers will claim the child.
This system was first developed by King Clement De Reine , who wanted a guarantee of recruiting the most powerful Imperials to the The Royal Guard to protect his beloved Queen. The system proved a success, expanding to include the The White Church and then the Elista.
For years the Wizard Guild has wanted a slice of this elite selection process, with Malfus trying to turn the Three Powers into 'the 4 powers' with the inclusion of his Guild, but the Queen has so far refused.
Over the centuries, the ABC system has evolved with state-of-the-art new practices, producing ever more accurate results. This led to a Queen's decree demanding all individuals must keep their ABC documents safe and use them to get a job once they become adults. Losing or destroying your birth charts will lead to a hefty 5 Essence coin fine or 5 years in prison. To retrieve the original documents, you must go to your birth hospital and pay them the admin fee.
The Aura Birth Certificate consists of an individuals:
- Soul Print (The total light available to an individual in the form of a pattern - as shown in the below examples)
- Four fingerprints (Each finger representing a different Aurae - as explained below)
- Thumbprint (Representing the Mind)
- Doctor's notes on the back of the certificate explain any anomalies with the data.
Soul Print Examples:
Example 1: No special abilities
In this example, the individual's soul print doesn't go beyond the first circle, thus exhibiting no inflated light levels.
This person's tolerance falls within normal standards, placing them in the 90% majority of Imperial population, so their results would not be passed onto any authorities.

Example 2: Air Aurae
This individual shows abnormally high levels of light connected to the Air element. (Shown by the print passing the first ring.)
This person falls into the rare 8% population that exhibits an Aurae potential. Their results will be passed on to any authorities that might be keen to invest in an Air practitioner.

Example 3: Sorce potential (Fire element)
This person falls in the category below 1%. Their print enters the third ring, thus granting them a Sorce potential. Their teenage years will reveal a Fire Aurae potential, and with proper training, their light can be converted into a Sorce ability by their twenties.
They will need access to an official Sorger to harness their light to its maximum Sorce potential. The hospital must pass these records to one of the Three Powers best qualified to train them.

The Four Fingerprints
The four fingers of the right hand reveal an individual's physical Aurae potential. Each finger represents a different Aurae light. A hospital creates the Soul print by calculating all the light available from the individual's four fingers. Important: It is possible to get a general idea of your Aurae potential without a hospital's Soul print by manually reading your palm and checking if any lines rise up your fingers. If a line passes into the second segment of one of your fingers, you can access that Aurae. If a line passes into the third segment (the fingernail segment) of your fingers, then you are one of the blessed with access to a Sorce. The Aurae and relevant finger:- Fire: Index finger
- Earth: Middle finger (Long finger)
- Air: Third finger
- Water: Little finger
