They find they are cut off from the signal in Horizon

They decide to head to the beacon

Along the way, their horses are spooked by a fallen tree

The horse jumps over, but the cart smashes into the tree. The harnesses break free

The party is tossed out

The wagon's axels are damaged beyond the power of simple mending

On the other side of the ruined bastion, there is a group waiting to ambush them.

The Party preemptively strikes

They break the attack and find a fresh wagon and horses
