Nasgovia

A street in Hoomanland by Nanotide
Nasgovia is the planet the Hooman's crashed onto during one of their many space colony attempts.
Having crash-landed on Nasgovia, the hoomans were left to their only devices having no contact with homeworld. While developing a stable standing on the planet, the hooman kept to their old ways. While it is much smaller than Homeworld, there is only a small amount of political disagreement among its people.

Politics

The 1st Nasgovian Leader, Damari by Nanotide

Political Structure

The hierarchy of the Nasgovian political structure has the Leader in charge, then with a council of 18 members. The Leader is voted on each year with the majority vote, which anyone can run for over the age of 18.
The council is also voted in yearly, majorly based on merit and compatibility with council duties. Hoomans can only become a council member from their own Sector.
In the past 100 years (ish) since the crash, there have been a total of 23 Nasgovian Leaders voted in. Voting is done by the majority vote. (See Notable Holders)
While the Leader and the Council Members are in charge of the management and running of the nation, they have to keep in mind what’s best for the people at large, since if they go too much against what the people want, they will be thrown out.

Views on other Cultures

Subculture
Homeworld Hoomans find them to be very strange due to their choice of masks and behaviour. While (some) Nasgovians and Homeworld hoomans can speak the same language, Nasgovians speak in a more old fashioned version due to their separation for 100 years.
Foreign Cultures:
Nasgovian Hoomans are more open-minded and curious of other races, having established alliances and trading with some of the other Nasgovian inhabitants. However, their opinions will quickly sour from seeing nations damaging the environment and being aggressive to other nations. Due to their exposure to other alien races, the Nasgovians can be seen as more diplomatic.

Culture

Architecture

Buildings are constructed to be well lit, with more public areas making use of more windows and large spaces to keep the place bright. Most Hooman structures are made of very tightly packed stone, metal or concrete.

Courtesy/Manners

Hoomans are expected to wear their masks when out in public, though they are free to take them off in private spaces. It is extremely rude to try and take off a hooman's mask without them being okay with it first. Removing a hooman's mask just to see what they look like is very disrespectful.   Other races could consider that Nasgovian lack the concept of personal space since they are very comfortable with touching and showing displays of platonic affection to each other. Romantic gestures are still mostly kept in private though.

Literature/Stories

While Nasgovia’s literature has been influenced by Old Homeworld pieces, a lot of stories are more related to the change of being on Nasgovia and with contact with other races. A lot of literature has the message about exploring the new world or finding a sense of one’s self.
