Ender's Greenhouse Building / Landmark in Hoomanland | World Anvil

Ender's Greenhouse

Ender's Greenhouse was owned by Ender, the 20th Nasgovian Leader. After the Nasgovian Exodus in 110 AC, the greenhouse, along with the land around, it was transferred into the hands of the Environment and Agriculture Sector.   Ender set up the greenhouse after they retired from leadership at the end of 99 AC as it gave them something to do, as well as finding the process of maintaining the greenhouse to be very calming to do. The former leader would spend a large amount of time there.

Advice

After Ender retired, it became a common occurrence that other hoomans would visit them to ask for advice relating to various problems they would have. Ender wasn't picky on who was allowed to visit and ask, under the condition that they let them know beforehand.

Rules

There are a couple of rules that visitors have to follow if they are looking to receive advice from Ender:
  • Put on a pair of gardening boots and gloves.
  • Help out in the greenhouse while talking with Ender.
Hoomans who refuse to help just annoy Ender as they see it as a small favour for the exchange of their advice and time and will request they leave.

Common Visitors

Ender has had a lot of visitors over the years that varied in relationship and profession:
  • Council Members - Many of the council would visit Ender for advice, and also to generally update them on what the following Leaders have been up to.
  • Algernon - As the 21st leader, Algernon visited Ender a lot, although it was more to just visit as they thought that the former leader probably gets tired of questions all the time.
  • Tayel & Sabrya - Being former employees and also friends of Ender, Tayel and Sabrya visited Ender a lot.
  • Jon - During their brief time as leader in 106 AC, Jon was intoduced to Ender, who attempted to help them deal with the stress of leadership.
  • Volria - Volria occasionally visits Ender to give them updates on how they are doing and how they are adapting to Nasgovia.

After the Exodus

Because Ender chose to join the hoomans that were leaving Nasgovia for Homeworld in 110 AC, they handed the greenhouse and the surrounding land/garden to the Environment and Agriculture Sector. For a short time, it was in ownership of Davon until they converted the place into a community building.
