Nasgovian Exodus Plot in Hoomanland | World Anvil

Nasgovian Exodus

The Nasgovian Exodus is the departure of some of the Nasogivan Hoomans and Edgevillians from the planet, leaving to go to Homeworld.

Preparation

The exodus was put into action by Saevii who believed that the climate change situation caused by humans wasn’t going to improve and that it would be for the best if the Hoomans just left them to destroy themselves instead.   Saevii disliked the leader at the time, Algernon, and believed they were not a good fit to get the plan in motion. In 106 AC they managed to fudge the numbers and take Algernon out of power, then instead replacing them with someone easier to control, Jon. However, Jon was mostly useless in getting any progress done due to being very passive, leading to Algernon getting back into power again.   In 107 AC, Saevii decided to take matters into their own hands and with the help of Volria and Harix, managed to get into the Nasgovian Capitol and forcefully get Algernon to step down.

Development of the Exodus Ships

After discovering Dr Kolb’s work on Fission Weapons, Saevii became interested in if this sort of energy could be instead used to power the exodus ships. With the help of Kaence, Saevii managed to convince Dr Kolb to come out of retirement and work on the Ship’s reactors.   The original plan that Saevii had was that it was one ship that would carry the Hoomans back to Homeworld, however, they ended up being convinced by Algernon that 5 smaller ships would be a safer plan, as it would take into account the Hooman track record of crashing their ships. The development of multiple ships would increase the chances of making it to Homeworld.

Launch of the Ships

By 110 AC, the 5 ships were ready to be launched into space. At launch, 3 of the ships made it into space, as the HCS Achernar refused to lift off due to engine malfunctions, and the HCS Cursa ended up crashing instead.

Reaching Homeworld

The HCS Ran, Eridani and Acamar made it to Homeworld in 114 AC.   While the former 2 ships landed with little issue, the HCS Acamar ended up crashing into homeworld, killing almost all the ship’s inhabitants.   The only survivors of the Acamar were Jexa and Lillya.
