Varana

Physical description:

Sharing more characteristics with humans than monkeys, these humanoids have preserved the tails and fur of their primate ancestors.

History:

They live in the forest where there is only one rule: "the strongest survive". Their body isn't strong enough to face all the other races that live in the forest with them so vanaras have developed the natural ability of hiding themselves and to strike from the dark. Sometimes a vanara escapes from the forest in search of more acceptance. They tend to hunt alone or in small group in order to share less food.

Society:

In society they are rarely seen but due to their friendly appearance they are accepted quite with ease. Usually you can see them working as exterminators or as detectives.

Vanara Names:

The vanara tend to use short names, emphasising "o" and "aah" sounds. The names of tribal chiefs tend to include "v" sounds.

Female: Aaylo, Ooru, Vanna
