The Division Head of European branch of the Vigilant organization and the Arcane Institute current headmaster. Roman is an accomplished Magi that has a vast hstory of accomplishments and knowledge regarding the various forms of magic that made him one of the most well known people within magic society. Despite this though, he is rather controversial among Vigilant for his rather progressive way of thinking, belieiving that though the restrictions on magic and supression of the paranormal was nesscary in the past were no longer needed in the modern day as it stiffled the potential growth needed for humanity to move foward.

Personal history
According to files depicting his earlier years, Roman was a young boy who alongside his family were traveling magi from eastern Europe that visited small villages suffering from disease to heal the injured. In their spare time they also tried to meet up with hiding magi to pick up on new tricks that may help them further their craft. Sadly theses acts of kindness and curiosity inadvertently drew attention towards them by the small minded who demonize magi and their abilities, which often results in them geting scrutinized chased out of town. Eventually though, they decided to move out of the continent and head towards the new world to start a new life, but sadly they sailed to New England during the era of witch trials. At first they tried to hide as best as they could and help where they can, but eventually they got accused anyways despite the fact that they never once used their magic. The only one who manages to escape death was the young Roman who would opt to travel south to avoid the depressing environment of the north.
After that he would begin traveling all over on his own contining his family's tradition, though he stopped helping the locals due to betrayal and trauma. Eventually while sailing the Caribbean he stumbles upon many nest and territories belonging to Elven folk and Dragons, which was first for him as his family tended to stay away from locations such as this to avoid the wrath of the paranormal. However, he was hungry and his travels had began to take their toll on his health, so reluctantly enters their domain despite the risk. While there though he bear witness to many new spells and magic, but more importantly the kindness of the residents who reminded him of his late family.
With a new resolve and passion for his families beliefs he was again took up the path of the well intentioned nomad, though this time he traveled much farther then any of his ancestors through the use of a boat design to traverse to seas in a few days. This made escapes rather easy for him and was able to cover more ground than anyone prior in his family, obtaining more knowledge and skills than anyone prior and meeting many notable individuals during said travels. During this time frame his ammassed knowledge resulted in his personal cultivation that inevidatebly lead to his asscension.
Eventually he would return to the America's upon hearing rumors about a recent uptake in magical pressence within the area peaking his interest. When he arrived though he was suprised by the advances made by the colonials as by now it was now the 1800's and colonies, which were now the United States which by this point has expanded outward towards the west coast. However, this resulted in developing towns that were recently founded to become the victims of attacks by the paranormal communities whose territories they accidently invaded. Fearng that this could expand beyond these small skirmishes, Roman pulled in favors with many magi he came across over the years to step in between the sides and brokered a ceasefire. This would leaad into the developent of the Vigilant organization as a means to ensure that the secret of the paranormal remains as such, while also acting as the designated peacekeepers between the groups.
Moving foward he develop the organization alongside Meleak Hakim, Maeve Hayes, Gray, and Cao Hao who intially operated as the original round table for the group. He would however, leave this position alongside Meleak when the first world war occured resulting in the Noctis population to rise, the two magi chose to expand the group beyond the America's and later became the Head Directors of the newly formed European and African branches. Roman would also create the Arcane Institute as means to expand their numbers and their capabilities in aether control so that they can better deal with major paranormal threats, such as the Noctis outbreak and the activities of the Cult of the Forgotten.
Currently he resides over in Neo Alexandria running branch operations and acting out his role as the headmaster of the Institue.
