"I'll always love you. Don't you ever, ever forget that."Jack Hunter was a backstory character, and an agent of Prospero in the years prior to the Advent of the Myths. He was kill during the fateful events of Operation: INCLEMENT STRIKE.

Background
Jack came from a fairly poor background, both in terms of wealth, as well as the death of his father at a young age. However, he managed to prevail and persevere in education, and earned himself a job with the Central Intelligence Agency. He later transferred to Prospero.Catching the Serial Killer
In 1989, a potentially anomalous case involving multiple murders and abductions was handed over to Prospero by the Federal Bureau of Investigation due to suspect anomalous involvement. Jack, along with fellow agent Sarah Williams, were assigned to the case to investigate. Neither of the pair were happy with their posting as they fundamentally disagreed with each other's methods; Jack believed Sarah was too hot-headed, and Sarah believed Jack was too slow to take action. Nonetheless, they accepted their pairing and mission. They launched a comprehensive investigation where they tracked their suspected individual to a house in Tierra Robada. As they surveyed the property, they sighted the subject leaving in a red Bobcat. They pursued the vehicle all the way to the Mass Grave near El Castillo Del Diablo, at which point they attempted to apprehend the subject. When the killer opened fire, Jack and Sarah had no choice but to neutralise him, with Sarah delivering the final blow. Following this operation, Jack and Sarah were assigned as official partners, and soon after entered into a relationship with one another. Little is known about their time together, however it is known that they loved each other very much. At some point, Jack proposed to her.Operation: INCLEMENT STRIKE & Death
Main article: Operation: INCLEMENT STRIKE In 1994, Operation: INCLEMENT STRIKE was due to be launched, which involved the confiscation of an object with confirmed healing properties from a rival organisation known as the Black Hand. Agents Alex Carter and Cody Davis were The Custodian's prime choices for the operation due to their record and his level of trust in them, however agent Katie Downes's recent assassination attempt upon his life had led him to withdraw them from the field to serve permanently as his personal bodyguards. As such, INCLEMENT STRIKE fell to his next best agents, Jack and Sarah. The Custodian had a high level of faith in them, and had already drawn up the paperwork for their promotion to Senior Special Agent upon the success of the operation. Jack and Sarah journeyed to the Pleasure Domes Club in San Fierro, and entered the club posing as patrons. They used the cover of dancing and making out to inspect the security in the club, and find out where the deal was taking place. When the deal turned sideways in the back of the club, Jack and Sarah capitalised on the opportunity to seize the object, however they were unsuccessful, and Martin Volk fled from the club with the object in his briefcase. The pair pursued Volk until he crashed his vehicle beneath the highway in San Fierro, which sent the briefcase sliding across the floor. Sarah grabbed it whilst Jack checked for Volk, however as the inspected the case and found that it was empty, Volk arrived training his gun upon Sarah. Jack leapt at her and pushed her out of the way, with Jack taking the bullet that was meant for her. Sarah then returned fire at Volk, though as she did he raised the healing device in his hands, resulting in her bullet killing Volk at the cost of breaking the healing device also. Jack lay fatally wounded in Sarah's arms, with the bullet having caused severe internal damage. He reassured her that he loved her, before slipping away in her arms.Aftermath
Jack's death had a profound effect upon Sarah, who considered his death to be her own personal failure. She beat herself up over the events of the operation, particularly letting her guard down at the end which created the need for Jack to save her, and as such she blamed herself for his death. With the weight of having lost her fiancé, her work partner, and the self-guilt, she fell into an extreme bout of suicidal depression.List of Appearances
