The Custodian, real name Johnathon Anthony Price, is a major character in Storymode. He is the Director of Prospero operations, and thus the individual ultimately in charge of the organisation. Highly intelligent and overly methodical, he is a mysterious leader who much prefers the shadows to the limelight. He rose to the position of Director in 1985 following his highly decorated CIA career, and the death of former Director Henry Bouer.

Biography

Background

Price was born in White Wood Estates, Las Venturas, in 1958. his family's wealthy background allowed him to attend private education, where he performed exceptionally in both academic and practical subjects, He sought an official career and joined the Central Intelligence Agency immediately following his exit from education. At some point in his life he met Lana Price, whom he later married.
In 1976, Price met and befriended both Alex Carter and Cody Davis. He also took the name "The Custodian" for himself around this time.
In 1984, Lana gave birth to their baby daughter, Kylie Price. However, Lana passed away during childbirth, meaning Price had to raise Kylie as a single father. Lana's loss affected Price dearly, and her death haunted him for the rest of his life.
Becoming Director

In 1985, Kylie was diagnosed with terminal cancer, the nature of which meant she would not survive past the present decade. This affected Price dearly as she was not only his daughter and only child, but also his one remaining link back to his wife. With all of this at stake, he decided that he would not rest and allow nature to take it's cause.
During his time at the CIA, he learned of an organisation named Prospero which dealt with objects and occurrences that were unexplainable by science and deemed to be anomalous in nature. As Kylie was beyond saving by modern and rational medicine, he looked towards Prospero for potential solutions. He quickly recognised that he would need to become Director of the organisation in order to achieve his aims, and so he set into motion a plan to gain the title.
As part of the plan, he had the then-Director Henry Bouer poisoned with a substance that would induce a heart attack, whilst being undetectable in autopsy.
