The Tinkerer, revered as "The Father," was a celestial creator who awoke to existence within an unformed void. With an innate curiosity and unmatched creativity, he began shaping matter and energy into the building blocks of his universe, experimenting with the elements of creation. His initial work was driven by a sense of wonder, but his purpose deepened upon encountering celestial refugees, led by The Mother of Us All (MOUA), fleeing the devastation wrought by Voidaris, the Devourer.   MOUA warned the Tinkerer of the cosmic duality: Vitaeon, the primordial life-giving force, seeded creation wherever it moved, but it also drew the inexorable Voidaris, a force of consumption and annihilation. Unwilling to abandon his burgeoning universe, the Tinkerer proposed a daring solution: to create a conduit that could harness Vitaeon’s essence, drawing in its life force to sustain creation while simultaneously pushing back the encroaching Voidaris.   Together, the Tinkerer and MOUA devised a plan to create this conduit, but the project remained unfinished as The Harbingers, the Devourer’s vanguard, advanced on their position. Time ran out, and with no other recourse, MOUA made the ultimate sacrifice. She offered her celestial body as the material for the conduit, transforming herself into the planet Alathor. The Tinkerer then took her eyes and crafted the Sun and Moon, completing the system to channel and regulate the flow of life force: the Sun would draw Vitaeon’s energy into Alathor, while the Moon acted as a gate to release excess energy, maintaining the balance of creation.   With MOUA’s sacrifice ensuring the vitality of Alathor, the Tinkerer recognized the need to protect the fledgling world from future incursions by the Harbingers. In a final act of devotion, he dissolved his physical form and became the sky itself, surrounding Alathor with a celestial shield. His presence in the heavens burns away threats that approach the planet, such as meteors or Harbinger-crafted incursions, ensuring Alathor’s safety. The interplay of his essence in the atmosphere also generates weather, seasons, and the cycles of day and night, further sustaining life on the planet.   The Tinkerer’s transformation into the sky not only guards Alathor from external dangers but also serves as a perpetual reminder of his ingenuity and sacrifice. His enduring role ensures that the life he and MOUA nurtured continues to flourish, ever shielded from the void’s relentless hunger.
