Voidaris

Voidaris, known as The Devourer, or The Unmaker, is a primordial and unfathomable force of destruction that transcends time, space, and the boundaries of existence itself. Like its counterpart Vitaeon, Voidaris is so ancient and vast that even the gods are mere specks in its path. It exists beyond mortal and divine comprehension, pursuing Vitaeon across universes to consume the life and energy it leaves behind. Voidaris is not a malevolent entity—it simply is—a cosmic force of entropy and the inevitable end that follows creation.
Nature
Voidaris is the embodiment of oblivion, the counterbalance to the life that Vitaeon spreads throughout the cosmos. Where Vitaeon ignites life, Voidaris follows, consuming everything in its wake. Stars, planets, even entire universes are swallowed into the abyss of Voidaris, leaving nothing but void in their place. It does not act out of cruelty, ambition, or desire; Voidaris is simply the force that unravels what has been woven, reducing everything to nothingness. As a God to the Gods, Voidaris does not acknowledge worship, nor does it seek followers or recognition. It is indifferent to anything that happens in the universes it consumes. The Stewards of Alathor, aware of Voidaris’ existence, regard it with the same awe and terror as they do Vitaeon, understanding that Voidaris will one day come for their world, though it may take eons, currently only held at bay currently only by the creation and sacrifice of the Mother and Father that created Alathor, which acts as a conduit of Vitaeon, kept in careful balance.
The Pursuit of Vitaeon
Voidaris eternally follows Vitaeon across the vastness of existence. Where Vitaeon brings creation, animation, and life, Voidaris eventually follows behind and negates it. This cycle of creation and negation is endless, as Voidaris seeks to unmake what Vitaeon creates. However, Voidaris does not actively seek out conflict with Vitaeon, nor is it “evil, dark, or destructive” - it is above intention or purpose; it is simply the consequence of existence itself, the closing of the circle.
Harbingers and False Prophets
Voidaris is indifferent to the worship of mortals and even to those who claim to serve it. However, the Harbingers, a self-proclaimed “vanguard” of Voidaris, are celestial creators and beings whose own universes were devoured and who have fallen into madness, believing themselves now to be heralds of the Devourer. In truth, Voidaris neither acknowledges them nor requires their service. The Harbingers’ twisted worship is entirely selfish, driven by their own misguided beliefs and the delusion that they can gain power from Voidaris’ destructive wake. Similarly, Zun-3 falsely claims that the people of Alathor must worship him to protect the world from Voidaris. In reality, Zun-3 is insignificant to Voidaris, and no amount of worship or power could influence the entity. The Devourer will consume in its own time, indifferent to the struggles of gods or mortals alike, and Zun-3’s demand of worship has actually begun to throw off the balance of Alathor and weaken it as a repellent and so Voidaris begins to creep closer.
Indifference to the Mortal Realm
Voidaris does not intervene in the affairs of the mortal or divine. It has no need to, as its presence alone spells the inevitable end for all things. While mortals may fear or attempt to understand it, Voidaris remains oblivious to their existence. It does not seek to torment or rule—it merely consumes, following its path of entropy as naturally as a star burns out over time.
Conclusion
Voidaris, The Devourer, is the ultimate force of entropy, an indifferent and eternal presence that follows Vitaeon’s life-giving trail and consumes all in its wake. While the Stewards may understand its existence, Voidaris is not influenced by worship, prophecy, or mortal struggles. It is the unmaking of creation, a necessary counterpart to life, and an inevitable force that will one day come for Alathor, as it has for countless other worlds - Mother and Father were aware of this, they merely wished to find a way to fend it off for as long as possible and give their creations time to be able to travel and keep ahead of the Devourer indefinitely.
