Guild Neutral

Many laborers, artisans, and other workers are guild-neutral in that they do not become exclusive clients of a single guild-family. For example, after leaving the Grappo family's service, Duala Jaass becomes a guild-neutral broker, though she still has a soft spot for Demir Grappo for being a good employer who pays fairly and on time. These guild-neutral workers do not enjoy the luxury, protection, or bragging rights of being affiliated with a guild-family, but they also enjoy the independence of not having to play by the guild-families' rules.
