Aviro

Aviro is one of the first deities. He entered the universe together with his twin sister Morghalia, setting off the Dawn of Gerandia. He was heavily involved in creating the world. As one of The Great Dragons, he is also one of the original Principal Deities.   Aviro is the embodiment of Life, Order and Duty. He was instrumental in shaping the positive energy plane, laying the foundation for the existence of life. It is also said that he created the first soul, and worked with Aeondir in creating the flow of souls, from their birth, to the point where they are reunited with their plane of origin after their death.   While he is not happy with his sisters affinity for undead, he values and respects her greatly, due to their shared history, and has thus begrudgingly accepted that undead are just another form of life that can coexist with the living. He will always protect the living over any undead, and considers any chaotic undead a great threat due to their unpredictability, but he does not outright condemn all undead.

History

Early History
Aviro was present for the entire creation. As Morghalia's twin brother, he entered the Universe together with her, and thus set in motion the events leading to the fight against, and subsequent defeat of, the Darkness   Appalled at the idea of having an entire universe without anything in it to experience it, and fascinated with life and positive energy, Aviro created a lot of the underlying mechanisms of life, and many living creatures in the Universe. He worked together on many of those creations with Greada due to their shared love for everything living.   He refused to punish Morghalia after she desecrated Darag's body, much to Greada's dismay. Ever since their relationship has been tense, despite their similarities.
Dealings with Mortals
While Aviro cares about life, he doesn't care about any specific species or race. As such he doesn't concern himself with the affairs of mortals or their destiny. He values the natural order, and prefers to not interfere, instead letting nature itself decide who lives and dies.   As such he was opposed to stepping in and interfering when Gealag was threatening all life on Gerandia. This adherence to natural order and non interference, put him once again at odds with Greada, who was of the opinion that all life should be protected, and not just life as a general universal concept. Their relationship deteriorated further, however still holds, based on a mutual appreciation of the others creations.   Aviro rarely if ever visits the mortal world, instead preferring to watch from afar.

Appearance

Dragon
In his natural form Aviro is a deep blue dragon, his arms and legs covered in a pattern of sprinkled golden scales, giving the impression of gold driving through an ocean. The golden pattern grows thicker towards his torso before eventually leading into a shield-shaped mark covering his chest. His wing bones are also golden, with a thin net of golden threads running through his otherwise deep blue wing membrane.
Humanoid
When appearing to mortals in person, rather than in the form of just manifesting his divine presence, Aviro usually appears in the shape and form of an ageless muscular man, with white hair, and a thick beard. He is clad in golden and blue robes, radiating an aura of importance, confidence and vitality.   His presence bolsters the spirits and resolve of nearby creatures, as they are invigorated by his presence, and filled with a sudden sense of duty.

Personality

Aviro is a calm, and collected deity. He is disconnected from most things happening on the mortal plane, preferring to watch over life and letting it find it's own way, rather than actively helping it and guiding it. However, life as a whole must be protected, and it's the duty of those strong enough, to do so.   True to his word, the only thing Aviro values more than life, is order and duty. He would never even considering to violate an oath he swore, or break and agreement, and he expects everyone else to think the same way.

Church of Aviro

Temples & Shrines
Aviro has temples in almost any city on the planet. His clerics are arbiters of law and order, often acting as judges. They are often asked to bless new laws being passed, and many of Aviros clerics find themselves working for or with the local guard to uphold law and order.   They are also often asked to act as witnesses to important events or agreements, or as sworn guards to important people, as it's known that a member of Aviro's clergy would sooner take their own life, than lie or break their word or oath.   Aside from their dedication to law and order, they also maintain many charitable organisations, and act as the protectors and defenders of those too weak to stand up for themselves. Their focus in the worship of life is more towards the life of sentient creatures, rather than all of nature.   Aviro Priests will often be the first to rush towards danger, bound by their duty to protect and help anyone who might need it. This protection however does not extend to those who violate the law. While still treated humanely, and respectfully, those committing crimes will be locked up, and punished in accordance with the local laws.
