Asdutur

Asdutur (as·du·tur) is a province of the Kingdom of Gararden⁣⁣ and is either a part of the Hearthlands or Southern Reaches region, depending on who's speaking.
Named in honour of King Asdutur Asterkin Garard, Asdutur initially encompassed only Asdutur Quay⁣⁣ and its surrounds. Over the years Asdutur has gradually expanded southwards. This hasn't directly translated to greater prosperity as Asdutur has always been the middle child of the provinces. Lowe's Rest is closer to Rensom which means Asdutur Quay is often overlooked as a port.
The closest thing Asdutur Quay has to a physical monopoly is that it's the port of choice for trade heading north-west to Lunedel - but Lunedel isn't quite a hive of activity like Ereshold. As such the governors of Asdutur have tried to cultivate niche specialties, the most famous of which is the Senders Guild.
It's current governor, Winifred Costain, continuously threatens to withdraw the Senders Guild in exchange for concessions from the other provinces. This has won him exactly zero friends.
