Copperrun

Copperrun stretches along Blackstock’s protected southern waterways where wealthy merchants, noble families, and influential guild leaders built their estates behind guarded roads and private embankments. Stone manors with copper-roofed towers overlook calm river channels while enclosed gardens and covered bridges separate the district from the noise of the lower city. Patrols from Holdfast and the Brass Bulwark maintain constant security here, and access through Coppergate is watched carefully by hired mercenaries and city guards alike.
The district carries an atmosphere of polished restraint. Servants move quietly through lantern-lit courtyards, barges unload luxury goods directly onto private docks, and political dinners continue long after the city below has gone to sleep. Copperrun wealth comes not from spectacle but control of shipping rights, banking houses, land ownership, and military contracts tied directly to the ruling clans of the Heathlands.
Even the river feels calmer here. Noise from Hillmarket fades behind stone walls while the waters reflect copper lanternlight beneath covered balconies. Yet beneath the elegance lies paranoia. Rival merchant houses monitor one another constantly, and many estates maintain private guards stronger than some lower district militias.
