Shield Square
Shield Square forms the loud beating center of Farriers Row where merchants, soldiers, adventurers, and workers gather beneath a constant haze of shouting and steel. Workshops and shops ring the square in a rough circle, but the true focus lies at its centre: a packed dirt fighting ring surrounded by wooden railings stained with old blood and spilled ale. Wrestling matches, sparring bouts, and full-contact brawls take place almost daily while crowds throw bets between rounds. Bronze Battalion soldiers often test themselves here against visiting warriors from rival factions or foreign delegations attending the Eastern Moots.
Unlike the more orderly training grounds of Brass Bulwark, Shield Square thrives on spectacle and reputation. Victories won here spread quickly through taverns and barracks alike. Musicians and food vendors crowd the outer edges while bruised fighters limp toward nearby healers after particularly brutal contests.
