Coppergate
Coppergate separates the bustling upper commoner district of Farriers Row from the elegant riverside estates of Copperrun. The gatehouse itself is narrower and more refined than Bronzegate, decorated with polished copper trim, lantern sconces, and carved stonework depicting merchant houses and river trade. Guards in mixed uniforms patrol the crossing — some sworn to Blackstock’s reeves, others hired mercenaries paid directly by Copperrun families to maintain security around the noble district.
Traffic through Coppergate is tightly controlled, especially after sundown. Carriages carrying merchants and diplomats roll through beneath watchful eyes while poorer citizens are often delayed or searched more aggressively. The polished wealth beyond the gate contrasts sharply with the noise and grime of Farriers Row.
