Primordial
Just as I thought we were in trouble with elementals, Kordgelle spoke something aloud. The earthy chunks and the watery sludge stopped in their tracks. With a sternly pointed finger, the elementals were quick to cower.
“What did you tell them? I’ve never heard of that tongue before!” I asked.
His wrapped head turned toward me, “It’s a dead language. If you hope to understand elementals further, it would be wise to study under me.”
Use
Primordial is an old and neglected language. Kordgelle is the only documented speaker of the language that uses it consistently. Somehow, this advanced language can resonate with every known elemental tongue, such as Auran, Ignan, Terran, and Aquan. It’s unclear how this is, as it has baffled scholars.
Kordgelle has been asked regularly about why this is. His explanation is always the same and is deemed unsatisfactory to many scholars due to the lack of specifics.
The domains where elements tread were built separately. When configured incorrectly, wasted effort is all there is. Should they work together and build something productive, the outcome can be outstanding. Though, how it is they all understand my language may very well be a matter of necessity.
Geographical Distribution
Though it may not be common, it is wise to use the dead language when mingling with elementals. They can be found in their respective domains. Triton and other exotic sentient sea-folk are guaranteed to be found off the shore of Morskaya, Zharitov and within the waters of Oceania.
Aarakocra and some fiery elementals can be found within Prageria.
Earthy elementals can be found in the Continent of Calvora but are sequestered on the eastern mountains.
