Faene Master

Qualifications

Experience as a viscount or duke helps to prove your merit. Though, Orrilius judges your ability by the wellbeing of the citizens and the prosperity of the settlement. Should he believe your ability to govern is excellent, then being appointed as a Master or Mistress is likely.

Requirements

Faene heritage and having lived a long life to acquire experiences and wisdom are mandatory.

Responsibilities

Masters and Mistresses are tasked with overseeing the wellbeing of their appointed province. This means ensuring that citizens are content and live modest lives at minimum.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Neglect and poor treatment are just some of the core reasons for removing a Master or Mistress. Because of the tough scrutiny the Grandest Father goes through to appoint the best possible candidates, it has only ever happened twice in the beginning.

History

As the Feydom grew and expanded, the basic gerontocracy system was beginning to weigh down. Vast populations made proper governance over settlements difficult. As such, Orrilius and a collection of elders began drawing up ideas. Thus, the idea of the current structure was born.

Cultural Significance

Masters and Mistresses are highly respected. Their presence is something that can be felt even to outsiders when stepping into their province. They are respected for their leadership and sought out constantly for guidance.
