Why The “Longest” Waterfall?
Can a waterfall really be long? Maybe it is the tallest waterfall? Perhaps that would be a better name, but as this waterfall is a part of the Long River, it gets its name from it as well. It’s a well deserved name too, as this waterfall falls over the edge of the Cliff that is about 2000, tall at this point. This makes The Longest Waterfall the tallest waterfall in the world.
Significance
The Longest Waterfall is one of the most recognizable sights of our world. Everyone knows it, everyone knows where it is, and everyone is fascinated by its might and beauty. To people near it, it’s important as a tourist destination, and for many people in many areas of the world it’s important as the source of the Long River - the longest river of our world, and also the most important one. The Longest Waterfall itself is depicted in many works of art and is talked about in many stories, movies and even poetry. One of the most significant songs that all of the kids read in school, at least around that area, is basically a love song to the waterfall. It’s a bit weird if you think about it, but it is a really nice waterfall.
Tourism
With its height, it’s no wonder that The Longest Waterfall is considered to be one of the best known natural wonders, and one of the most popular tourist spots. People from all over the world come here to see the waterfall, which might be the reason why a town has been established nearby that rakes in all of the profits from visitors of the waterfall.
The Longest Waterfall is a magnificent sight to anyone who visits it. In the presence of its size and the loudness of the roaring water falling down, one can’t help but to feel humbled by the raw force of nature. Many come here for nothing more but to take pictures of the waterfall, but it also offers many activities for the more adventurous people.
In the town, people can stay at hotels, walk trails around the Long River and The Longest Waterfall, or a series of bridges that come so close to the waterfall that you’ll get splashed by the water which is actually pretty exciting to people. Tours are booked at all times of day for those interested in hearing more details about the waterfall.
But it’s not only the bottom of the waterfall that is interesting to tourists. Many like to go rock climbing all the way to the top, or walk up the stars leading all the way to the top. Managing one of these two is a pretty awesome achievement, and at the top you’ll be rewarded with water, supplies and souvenirs sold at a much higher price as at the bottom.
If you’re extra insan- I mean adventurous, you can even partake in barrel plunge. This means that you can buy yourself a barrel and get dropped down in it from the top all the way to the bottom of the waterfall. Make sure you buy yourself some extra lives before doing this because there is a pretty good chance you’ll die, or at least get seriously injured.
