Long River
Such a short name for such a long river. Long River might just be the longest river in the world, and so it is the best known and the most important river of our world. It starts its journey on top of Cliffs of Å+*4~ and continues its way down into Desert through a waterfall. From there it runs across Desert to Å+*4~, where it splits in two, creating a border around Å+*4~ with Desert, Wasteland of Ä+*4~ and Fairy Gardens. One half of it runs towards south for around 3000km, and the other one runs to the east, toward Fairy Gardens where it pours into another river coming town from Å+*4~ mountain.
Along the Long River
Along its journey, Long River passes many different areas, and has its special significance in all of them.
Cliffs
Long river here starts as a series of springs that all pour into each other to create a river. People like to come up here to stock up on fresh spring water from these springs. It's not uncommon at all for people to acquire a bigger stock of bottled spring water that they can sell for profit to people living in Desert. Fresh water in this dry, hot area is very valuable. If you’re coming here from a different part of the world, you are well advised to bring your own water, because this one is outrageously expensive.
Waterfall
While water is one of the most valuable things a person could ask for here, this waterfall is what keeps people coming here and spending their money on the outrageously expensive spring water and other overpriced souvenirs here. Everyone likes to come here, look at the waterfall, take some pictures and spend some money. The more adventurous types may even attempt a barrel plunge - jumping off of this waterfall in a barrel. Only do this if you don’t mind dying in the process though.
Desert
Long River might be the most important to the people in Desert. It provides this otherwise dry and barren land with much needed water and allows for at least some plants, animals, and people to survive here. While this is on a very limited scale, Long River is heavily used for irrigation and provides some opportunities for agriculture. Many people here like to raise cattle which is... you know what we’re not getting into this one here.
Å+*4~
Here is where the river splits in two. The west half of the river runs down south between Å+*4~ and Wasteland. Well, it’s not exactly a half, as this is the more narrow part of the river. Besides providing this side of Å+*4~ with much needed water that allowed this area to grow this big, it also clearly marks the border between Å+*4~ and Wasteland. To people from other parts of the world it’s interesting to see the stark contrast between a big thriving city on one side and a dead wasteland on the other side of the river, but the truth is that the ground this city is built on pretty much is wasteland anyway. However it’s because of this river why Wasteland is completely cut off from Å+*4~ - you won’t see any bridges across the river here as there is nothing to find in Wasteland anyway. You can be pretty damn sure that people still try and do make their way across, if nothing more just to be able to say they did it.
North Å+*4~
While one half of the river runs towards the south, the other half continues its way towards the west. Here it creates a border between Å+*4~ and Fairy Gardens. But no matter if you’re in Å+*4~ or Fairy Gardens, this area is one of the most fertile ones in the world. The river here supports the largest agricultural area of Å+*4~, as well as many gardens and orchards of Fairy Gardens. Here, the river runs all around Å+*4~, until it finally pours into the river coming down from Å+*4~ mountains.
