Kymric Brynd (KIM-rik)

The Kymric Brynd consider themselves the first of the Bryndffolk. When the ancient, sorcerous realm of Vakra sank into what would be the Khorian Basin, the ancestors of the Kymric escaped to the only lands they could find that were safe from the catastrophe, the Kymru Mountains. There, they established communities free from the domination of Vakra. Kymric legend maintains that this is when the Bards and Druids mark the beginning of the Bryndffolk. High up the face of the Kymru Mountains, they await the return of the Aírdrígh, and the reunification fo all the Bryndffolk.

Karrak Brynd are the most highly favored Elemental Heritage. The Earth-Touched are provided the best opportunities to prosper and enjoy the most privilege.

Fflam Brynd are the least favored Elemental Heritage. The Fire-Touched are often assumed to be too reckless and volatile to excel in society. Although they are not second class citizens among the Kymric Brynd, the Fire-Touched have to overcome many more obstacles to succeed than Kymric of other Elemental Heritages.

Tonna Brynd are neither favored nor disfavored by society. The Water-Touched provide a needed flexibility in an otherwise static and set culture of the Kymric Brynd. Unlike the similarly protean Fire-Touched Kymric, the Water-Touched have a temperament that allow them to work within the bounds of tradition and adapt the Kymric Brynd to changing ages.

Ganigen Brynd remain outside the scale of favor that the other Elemental Heritages are subject to. The Air-Touched are, by tradition, the most free to travel between the Riocht, even when political tensions closes such travel to others.
