Ganigen Bryndffolk (GAN-ih-jen)

The Ganigen Brynd bear affinity towards the element of Air. They are as free and unbound as the wind from which they are born. The Ganigen enjoy a particularly open role within Bryndffolk society, bearing no allegiance to any one tribe, but having free passage through the realms of all the Bryndland tribes.

The Ganigen are swift. They move and think quickly and display a great deal of grace and dexterity especially as compared to the average Bryndffolk.

Social Structure

As summarized above, Ganigen hold a special place in Bryndffolk society. They are set outside the tribal heirarchy of their Karrak, Fflam and Tonna cousins and are treated more-or-less equally by all three tribes. Tradition and custom hold that the Ganigen are not restricted in their travels, and are seldom treated with the same cultural assumptions that the different tribes hold for one another.

This is not to say that the Ganigen Brynd do not identify with the tribe they are raised with. A Kælic Ganigen is just as proud of their heritage as a Kælic Karrak and the same goes for the Kharian and Kymric Brynd.

Among the Bryndffolk tribes, having a travelling Ganigen as a guest in one's home is considerd good luck and inviting the blessings of Aimsyyr.

Facial characteristics

Ganigen have delicate features. Long, angular faces (though not rough like their Karrak cousins), large, expressive eyes, small ears set close to their heads. Ganigen tend towards wide, flat cheekbones and narrow noses.
