Trefles

Known for its commerce, the wooded nation of Trefles is the landing point for all westgoing travelers to Apresdas. Thriving port cities, legendary dwarven clans, and a shining fortress stand along the eastern coast to welcome new arrivals... or they did, until the country fell to ruin. Trefles was once a powerful democratic power in Apresdas' history. However, dissatisfaction with the wealth gap led to a revolt that instituted a monarchy. This, of course, didn't improve things. The royal family of Trefles ruled for many centuries despite this, until further unrest resulted in riots that dispatched the monarchy as well. 50 years later, Trefles is now a lawless place, where coin and commerce are the only forms of order.
