Carreaux

Also called the "Diamond of the West," Carreaux is a sparsely-populated peaceful nation. Much of it is dominated by the Desert of Fools, so hot as to be uninhabitable except for its northern coast along the Bay of Beasts. Unlike the rest of Apresdas, Carreaux operates on a democratic political structure with a strong emphasis on social programs. Many of its inhabitants are monks, and the country has remained famously neutral in all but a few military conflicts.
