Thalasport
Thalasport is a trade port located on the eastern coast of the island of Pukai, situated near the centre of the Red Current channel in the Kuai Archipelago. Thalasport lies above the underwater city of Thalassrah.
Thalasport is controlled by the Council of Tides of Thalassrah, and is the major port for trade ships taking the Red Current Trade Route, between Port Nyras and Calgern Port. Thalasport is a common stop for traders and cargo ships to rest, as well as buy and sell goods and wares, before continuing on their journey.
Thalasport is also the location of the Āwhina Tunnel, a subterranean passage that descends deep below the sea, allowing surface dwellers to safely travel from Thalasport to the city of Thalassrah.
Government
Thalasport is governed by a Harbourmaster, who is appointed by, and responds directly to the Council of Tides of Thalassrah.
Defence
Thalasport is defended by a small garrison of soldiers, a majority of whom are stationed in Thalasport from Thalassrah. Reinforcements can be called over from the larger garrison in Thalassrah if necessary.
Is is also common from foreign warships to be docked at Thalasport, who protect trade ships traveling the Red Current, and have been known to aid in the protection of Thalasport from pirates.
Commerce
Thalasport is the largest trade port in the Kuai Archipelago, with a continuous flow of goods passing through it's harbour from the numerous trade ships travelling the Red Current between the nations of the Coven of Maran and the Varin Empire.
Thalasport is filled with a large market, as well as taverns, inns and other amenities, which cater to the constant stream of sailors and traders that pass through the town. Most of any goods can be found within the town's walls.
Thalasport also connects the goods of the underwater city of Thalassrah, to the Red Current Trade Route that traverses the waters of the Red Current on the surface, making it a hotspot for crafted goods, seafood and unique minerals traded between the surface and the depths.
Geography

Thalasport is a walled city, with it surrounded by a small stone wall, and mounted with battlements and siege weaponry. Outside of the walls of the town is the harbour, a large port with a numerous docks, which house visiting trade ships, as well as foreign warships.
The town itself is primarily a large market, with a collection of colourful market stalls, selling all manner of goods, from exotic food to unique jewellery and weapons. There are very few residential buildings, with most of the structures being local businesses, such as shops, taverns, inns and other amenities, which cater to the sailors and traders that pass through the town.
