Knífrbreið

Knífrbreið is one of the five island-like regions of the continent of Atlan, connected to each other by the usually frozen Frigid Sea. Knífrbreið is located near the centre north of Atlan, separated from the region of Gaiafótr by the Ingemar River.

It is believed that the name "Knífrbreið" is derived from the Giant word for Knife or Blade, with the island resembling that of a bladed object.
